Mumbai's iconic Gateway of India comes alive in this luminous nocturnal study, painted in 2023 to mark India's Independence Day celebrations. MINA captures the monument bathed in coloured floodlights — warm rose and cool jade — against a dramatic dark sky streaked with golden light, evoking the electricity of a city in celebration.

In the foreground, clusters of pink blooms and pale stones anchor the composition, while a solitary street lamp and the distant shimmer of the harbour complete the scene.
